Ah, People Even Started Copying Roundup Posts

I can bet that your content has been copied, plagiarized, ripped-off and what not. This is an absolute given if your blog is at least a few months old.

Consider my blog’s case for example. TechnoMoney is only 2.5 months old and my content has been copied enumerable times by RSS feed scrapers. Many bots have also copied my content as excerpts. I don’t really mind excerpts but I absolutely hate it when people copy my whole content.

But seriously, how lame can people get?

Wayne Liew notified me a few days ago that this site was scraping my content. This has to be the most lamest and hilarious thing I’ve ever seen online: he freakin’ copied my roundup post! LOL  Here’s the scraped post:  Are you ready for 2008?. It’s copied directly from the 30 December edition of Best of the ‘Sphere. The only difference between his and my post is that he removed links to TechnoMoney and inserted his instead.

I know my Best of the ‘Sphere posts rock and they aren’t at all like normal speedlinking posts but that doesn’t mean you start copying them. Ah, well, I guess some people never learn…

I haven’t emailed him yet but I will later today. Let’s see what he says
